Once again we have messed up, La Paz is supposed to be with the rest of South America-
again we blame Blogger!!

The concrete maze that is La Paz, Bolivia.

Can you spot Dara and Alex, the new Where's Wally!!?

Dara got some guitar lessons from a local rising star :)

La Paz was our time for pampering, 'pampering for pennies!'
Treated ourselves to haircuts, 4star hotel (with OUR OWN rooms!), pedicures, manicures, massages and lots of shopping!

Our Californian Adventures started in...

Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth!!

The wonderful thing about Tiggers...is Tiggers are wonderful chaps,
They're loaded with vim and with vig-rrr, they love to leap in your laps!!!

It all began with a mouse :)

If only all firetrucks looked like this!!

Loved everything about Toontown,
especially Goofy's house!
Mark's looking into property!

It really is a small world :)

Off to Neverland!!

Spot the 2 kids at the front for storytime!!

Mark (aka: Johnny Dipp!) better watch out...
Laura is finding him strangely attractive!

Winnie the Pooh, willy, nilly, silly old Bear!

Snow White's Castle

We had to ask about SEVEN tourists to take this picture,
ALL of them cut out the castle!
This is the best of a bad bunch!!

Took a spin on the teacups in
celebration of our very
merry unbirthdays!!

Watched The Parade of A Million Dreams...

In our desperation to get front row
seats we sat in totally the wrong place!
Then, in the panic to get good seats we left all our bags behind!! But of course no one would take them...it was Disneyland!!

The floats were as spectacular as always!!

Ended our magical day with Tinkerbelle flying through the sky and lighting up the castle :)
Remember Dreams Come True!

Doing L.A. in style!!

In West Philadelphia born and raised....
managed to locate the house where they filmed the Fresh Prince of Bel Air so clearly it was time for another photo op!!!

Saw Graumann's Chinese Theatre where Laura even met Johnny Depp!
It is him...isn't it?!
We gave him $5 so it better be!!

Hello????

Some people stand in the darkness, afraid to step into the light!!

Met a real life Hasslehoff on Malibu Beach!

Flexed our pecs (or lack of!) on Muscle Beach!!

Sunset on Venice Beach :)

Stayed with Jonathan, our L.A. host!!
Had lots of fun nights with his UCLA buddies!

L.A. ended on a (VERY!!!) high note-well for Dara and Ulla anyway!!
Kim from Home & Away is even more beautiful in real life (and he had a guitar!!!)
We tried to find him in Australia but L.A. is where dreams come true!!
(Mark and Laura had no part in the writing of this comment!!)

Travelled across the border to Tijuana and embraced the Mexican headgear!

We also noticed that they paint donkeys to look like zebra's!!
We were not impressed :(

In San Diego we visited the Hotel Del Coronado, the largest wooden hotel
in the world! (or something!!)

Went to our first Drive-In movie!!!
There's a niche in the market at home for this!!

Took a rosemantic Cinderella Carriage ride around the Seapoint area in the city
Its so pretty...sorry Mark!

The Gaslamp Quarter looked great at night!

Visited Newport and Laguna Beaches on the way back to L.A.

Laura (the OC fanatic) was in her element and made references every 2 seconds!
'This could be where Sandy worked!!' ..hmm

The houses were all amazing, with seafront views...

...ever feel like you don't belong? :(

Dara's hometown: San Fransisco!

The Golden Gate Bridge, its longer than it looks!
Walked halfway then turned back! So technically we made it the whole way across!?!

Our budget crisis meant that this was as close as we got to Alcatraz!!

Third time lucky!
Dara finally got to
take a cable car ride down to the Wharf :)

This is how Mark spent his time in Sausolito!!
He had a 'Superbad' time!!

The beautiful Palace of Fine Arts, Dara is definitely wearing a wedding dress there
someday!! Any takers????

The Rainforest Cafe: could only afford the soup but it was worth it for the fake thunder and lightning storms every 15 minutes!

2 blocks straight and 23 blocks to the left...and this is where you'll end up!!
Eventually found the Matrix on Union street which Dan thought was 'just around the corner!'
It was great to see more friends from home :)
